Not gonna read every post but it seems odd that a kid who grew up in Baton Rouge would be fearful for his safety in Baton Rouge or at lsu

This. Saban is just showing the rings. It's as simple as that.

I will say the "business decision" is stupid though. LSU and BAMA are both elite stepping stones to the NFL.
