My LSU Basketball Fandom At All-Time Low

I'll start this off by saying I will always want us to win...
My first memories of LSU basketball was late Dale, all of Brady, all of Trent, and current. From 2003-until I moved out of Louisiana this season, I probably missed 5 home games total. I would say I care more about basketball than football for the most part (which is sad for me).
But currently...I am just fed up. We have good talent and we are just pathetically coached and have absolutely zero passion for the game. It's obvious Johnny is a terrible X's and O's coach, but he also has no control over the players. He had problems with Hickey his first year, then Ben and TQ drama last year, now is forced to kick Victor off the team. It is to the point the program is a black eye for our school.
I really wanted to like Johnny. He truly does care about the university, but my gosh...he is so bad. I am writing this just to vent. I have been critical of Jones, but I still wished the best for our basketball program. Now I just want the season to be over and start over next season. I'm just very depressed about it all. Thank you for listening.

I don't like Brady, but I will admit it was by far the most exciting.

Maybe it was because I was young and growing up but that stretch from 2002 to beating UCONN in 2007 with Gameday in the house was so much fun.

Right there with you, brotha. Absolutely no interest these days. It's killing me.

Agreed, last season was a complete embarrassment, JJ is Curley level bad.

Problem is we are relying on Alleva to make a move and/or the next hire. We'll probably end up with Randy Livingston as our head coach next year...

My very 1st memory of a LSU event was a basketball game. As bad as things look now, 2006-2007 season burned me worse than this.

Me and Camp were gonna go to the game tonight...on the way there I opted out. Been drinking a lot and just tired, decided to just watch the thing on tv. Why should I pay $20 for that shite?

Yea I didn't go either. Painting the house and just didn't have the want. First time I've felt this way in a long time.

I'm usually all in for every game every single year. This year not so much, this is the worst coaching possibly in the nation, and probably the worst LSU has ever had. Worse than Trent Johnson, and he was terrible

Trent Johnson was a good coach he was just a horrible and extremely lazy recruiter. When he had talent early in his LSU career he won.

I remember being at Ryan Airport in 1987 after Dale Brown and the team made a remarkable run to the Final Four. I think 4k fans were there during the night waiting for the plane arrive.
Somewhere down the road, Dale gave up. His last four years were shite. Brady began with false sanctions. It was hit or miss with Brady.
Trent was a disaster.
Johnny Jones should not be coaching High School basketball much less College.
Fans don't care because the Brass at LSU don't want to try to build an elite basketball program. It takes dollars and a desire. Joe Alleva doesn't give a frick. He doesn't. He doesn't care about you or me. He just wants butts in the seats. He is a failure and his coaches follow suit.

I remember you shared your pics of when you camped out by the PMAC. That sort of passion will never come back with Johnny Jones. He looks like he cares less than the fans in the arena.

Sameies OP
I've missed the last 3 home games. I'm only gonna go to a few more....just so my kids can go.
My tickets are sitting on my kitchen counter. This sucks
Everyone says nobody cares about lsu basketball. Well...give the fans something to care about
Nobody cared about football in the mid 90s either

I wrote that prior to the horrendous management job CJJ did in the Vandy game. He uses his bench and his lineups so poorly and unwisely. Sims could have had 20+ last night if he were allow to play Epps's minutes.

In 1995-96, mine was lower just because LSU was so damn terrible.
