I deal with Weyerhaeuser regularly on non-hunting related issues. They recently completed a large acquisition of all the Plum Creek Timberlands holdings. My contacts tell me, as could be reasonably expected, the transition is a major cluster. No one is quite sure what's going on and who's responsible for what.

I've got six pieces of equipment that Plum Ceek owes three years, been dealing with FiFi Washington trying to get some answers but no one has a clue what's going on.

The rumors are exactly from that. A lot of the old plum creek leases are dog clubs. I imagine there will be some grandfather clause put into place the allows the previous plum creek leases that were dog club to still continue on for a period of time.
Like it or not, dog hunting is being phased out on leased properties. Weyehauser started the ball rolling when they implemented it. It will continue down this path until state and federal laws make it impossible to hunt nearly anything with a dog. It's the sad fact of the reality.
