Me and a few friends are heading to watch the Tigers in Florida, and seeing if anyone had any suggestions on what to do after the game being that kickoff is early.
Possibly something not too costly, or places to watch the fireworks to bring in the new year?

Keep an eye on our LSU Central Florida Alumni website or FB page. We may have something at a place downtown after game. Friday night we are having a get together for all fans. You can find out all info:

LSU Alumni

Be awesome to have a bunch of TD members come out.

Welcome to Orlandeaux

Oh, you are soooo right.
Please don't come, your obvious superior intellect (and charming personality) would only further demonstrate the "shittiness" of our lowly town of squalor.

a-hole.

Stay off of Orange Blossom Trail.

For fireworks, you could just go to Downtown Disney or Disney Springs or whatever it's called now.

You'll see the fireworks from Epcot for sure and possibly some from the Studios. Depending on where you are there, you could possibly see but you'd more likely hear the ones from the MK.

So your advise is to skip the alumni association's Friday night party and avoid Winter Park?
:wtf:

Easy there buddy.

I lived there for 11 years.

OBT has some ok areas, it does run completely north and south through the peninsula.

So I'll be more specific, Sand Lake Rd/OBT (441). It's not the best area. That's all I was saying. It's about 20-25 min from Winter Park which is more near Orlando Metro. Near Lake Ivahoe, Eatonville, Osceola Shores.

I had no knowledge of the alumni association's party.

I'm only trying to help out the OP.

As far as anything north of SR 50, I was referring to Pine Hills but I figured there'd be no reason that the OP would be in that area anyway, so I edited.

Fair enough?

I guess you are trying to help, but Sand Lake Rd/441 (OBT) is EXACTLY where the Friday night event is. Pine Hills is west of Orlando. Directly north is Winter Park, the nicest area of Orlando.

11 years? Cool. 42 here, minus the 4 years I was in Baton Rouge.

If it's right there, that should be ok. I was referring to all the strip clubs and stuff that are just north on OBT after you exit on Sand Lake.

The Florida Mall is right there and I never had trouble there but you don't have to go far north to run into some shady areas but you sound like you know what I'm referring to.

Pine Hills was north of where I lived when i was there but it seemed like that helicopter was always buzzing around there.

11 years. Lived in MetroWest.

I wouldn't try to steer anyone wrong with bad info.

Where is the Friday event if you're ok with saying? I honestly didn't hear anything about it.

There's a Sonny's not far from there!
