Important as in valuable? Impossible that everyone is equally important in that sense, as a person's value is a product of how he is perceived by others. This means that I think Nigerians are less important or "valuable" to me than say... my children.

However, this does not mean that I believe that Nigerians have fewer rights than me, as all moral agents should have the same rights regardless of the value I place on that person. I would care to a much lesser degree if a Nigerian prince had his rights violated than I would if My family member had a right violated.

I would also care more if person b violated person A's rights in my name, using my resources, as this now implicates me in a crime I did not wish to commit.

This is why Israel is important, and aid to them AND Palestinian groups and everyone else should immediately stop.
