Tired of Cox-switching to uverse

I'm about to drop Cox after having them for over 20 years. ATT has just installed fiber lines in my neighborhood and I will make the switch on 1/7. I'm getting uverse, digital phone and internet/wifi for about 125 a month. I pay about 190 a month now. The price is guaranteed for 24 months. It seems like a no-brainer to switch at this point. I'm just sick of renegotiating with Cox every six months. I've never had uverse before. Is there anything I should be wary of???

slight misdirection but...are you not just considering cutting the cord for any reason?

Is Uverse even available for the public outside of ones living in apartment complexes?

Yes. We've had uverse for years in New Orleans area until we finally cut the cord. We even still were using Uverse internet until we went over to Cox recently.

Believe this is a new thing, specifically last 6 months.
ETA - they aren't going to switch you over to DTV if you already have Uverse.

Sports, news ect.... I still enjoy having cable, I just want it cheaper and 125/month for all 3 seems like a good deal.

Are you in decent range for an antenna?
You could get DirecTV Now for $35.00 a month that includes ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECNetwork, NHL Network, NBA TV
It includes Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, etc.
With your antenna you could catch the locals
There's a special going on right now. If you sign up for 3 months of the $35.00 plan, ($105 total for 3 months), you get a free Apple TV (cost of $150 at retailers and amazon). Solid deal and I enjoy it a lot.
eta - DirecTV Now is a Cable streaming service. Let me warn you that there could be instances where it doesn't work like you want it to. It's only a month or so old and they are still fixing things. You should Youtube it and see how you like it

Cut the cord, use streaming service, add fire TV, and install Kodi. Never look back.
