I had x-wing and absoutely loved it. I had it on PC where you downloaded off of floppy discs.

Do any of y'all know how I could find it and play it on any modern platform? I'm not a gamer or tech savvy so I'm not familiar with such things.

Wasted many hours of my youth on X-wing and tie-fighter. So many ways to replay and enjoy. If you look on youtube a few people have figured out how to run it on a DosBox. I would kill for someone to do an update. They don't make em like this anymore.

Tie Fighter is one of my favorite games of all time and way better than any of the more arcade-y Star Wars games like Rogue Squadron that gets most of the attention on this board.

You'll need a PC and a flight stick to play them but they are all on GOG.com.

X-Wing
Tie Fighter
X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter
X-Wing Alliance

This flight stick has good reviews and is decently priced: LINK

They are all on Steam as well, and on sale for the winter sale I think.

Good point. They are cheaper on Steam right now than GOG. You can have all 4 for $11.99. Also, I was concerned the Steam version wouldn't include the collector's edition of Tie Fighter which had better music than the other releases, but it's there too. I may actually grab this myself.

ETA: I should also mention there is a fan made graphics upgrade pack for X-Wing Alliance, which you can find here: LINK

I remember installing this back in the day and it was easy to get running.
