1,500 on Roulette Gradually built up to it. Started with $50 and doubled every time I lost. Finally got my money back.
If you doubled your bet starting with $50 you would never hit 1500. It would go from 800 to 1600. I do like the practice of double when you lose and pocket when you win. As long as you start small and don't run out of money to bet or time you'll at worst leave even.

This is the problem people have when they try this after convincing themselves they will win money.. They run out of money.

Until you hit the table limit, lol.

If you're doing this enough to consider it a practice, you aren't breaking even.
