We piss and moan about the offense non-stop and that includes Alleva. So, we hire a defense line coach who was out of work two years ago and who was a miserable failure in his only HC job? A DL guy who couldn't land a DC job in a decade. Holy shite, how fricked up are we in the LSU administration?
Look, we all hope O does great here, but there is nothing which shows LSU to have done quite well in this hire.
The best off resumes was Texas. The worse was LSU.

The rationale that no one is winning the West until Nick retires anyway so why not save some money?
The genius move was overpaying Aranda so he is pro-LSU going forward. The timing of him wanting to move to a Power 5 head coaching job and Nick leaving Bama might line up perfectly.
