I don't feel bad for him. He could have gone to Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, or UNC and chose to go to LSU because of Simmons. If I was a top recruit, there's no way I would pass up playing at a top program. That's like someone growing up in Kentucky and being a 5* RB with offers to Alabama, LSU, and Ohio State and choosing to go to UK or Vanderbilt, a team that may squeak into a bowl game every few years, just because your buddy is going there. He'll make plenty money by playing a sport, he'll be fine.

The point to which I was responding was that coming to LSU could harm blakeny's draft stock and that players should think twice about coming to LSU. That opinion is absolute drivel though, and Simmons is evidence that completely destroys that argument.
Players get drafted based on their ability and potential—not who their college coach and team are.
Feel free to continue melting down, though.

I will tell you my take on Blakeney. Last year in that game in Knoxville where no other player on the team gave two shits and it was obvious by the lack of effort and body language, Tone PLAYED HIS arse OFF. And he was the only one.
