Mr. Katanga, I know it is the Christmas season and all, but frick you and your catastrophically stupid fricking opinion! Obviously, by all reasonable evidence, a black politician would not (and I daresay, almost could not) have been elected POTUS in the 1960s.
And the voters of United States of America DID elect a black POTUS four decades later.
Therefore, BY DEFINITION, the country is less racist. There can be no other conclusion, unless one is, like you and A. Bourdain, catastrophically stupid.
Can we improve? Yes. Does racism exist? Of course. We could even debate if the country is "only slightly less racist than in the 60s". But to marginalize the above facts is catastrophically fricking asinine of you.
