quote:

If your panties get in a bunch when Trump calls Rosie a fat fricking pig, do not call him orange, or talk about his appearance.

Once you do, you lose all moral high ground, period.
Personally, I don't care what anyone says about Rosie, but I can still see the difference between calling someone a "fat fricking pig" and making jokes about someone's face being orange as frick, on purpose. One is meant to be mean and hurtful, and the other is meant to point out the obvious humor.

I think it's obvious that Trump uses things like orange makeup and outrageous tweets to distract us/media from a lot of the things he's up to.

The main difference (and why the comparison fails) is that the right isn't trying to get you fired from your job, banned from social media, or publicly shamed for calling someone orange or fat. Whereas the left will pearl clutch and try to brow beat you into submission for the slightest wrongthink, while making gendered, racial, and social class insults themselves all day.

What's happening is that people are no longer responding to their attempts at shame and they are panicking having no idea what to do besides double down with the hysteria and hyperbole.
