Met a kid tonight who is in the 8th grade and a legit 6'9 and will most likely be attending Central.

In all seriousness, it's a bad program. Live Oak is the only team worse than them in what is a bad basketball district outside of Scotlandville

Yeah, his aunt said she'd like him to end up somewhere else but all his friends are going to Central and the kid wants to go there too.

I've never seen him play but I know he is legit 6'9 and has massive hands.

If he's 6'9" and wants a shot at playing college basketball, I'd send him to Scotlandville. Carlos Sample is one of the best around around developing kids into well rounded basketball players.

I know he's had college athletes in his family, but I just met the kid tonight. No idea what he'll ultimately do but it's not every day you meet an 8th grader who is legitimately 6'9. I can only imagine my reaction when he stood up from the couch.

Central is a good public school. Be glad his friends aren't pulling him to a worse school

I'm sure they would but that doesn't mean he will become a better basketball player

that's what I told his aunt. Schools will pay for him to attend on potential alone.

His friends could just as easily have convinced him to go to Glenn Oaks or some shite

Central rates very highly on public school lists, or atleast it did when I went there

if you're good enough, it really doesn't matter where you go... Anthony Davis's HS was nothing in Chicago basketball

You haven't seen Walker play then. They have a really good team and are very well coached.

Yes I have and no they dont. Finishing 16th and getting bounced in the first round by 15 is not what good team do

So I take it you haven't seen them this year because they are way better. I'm not a Walker fan nor do I have any connection to anybody at Walker. I've just seen them play twice this year and they look damn good.
