I don't have a problem with whiffingbon guys he's had no relationship with, but he's striking out on players he actively recruited to UH as well. And these aren't 4 or 5-star guys. I didn't expect him to light the world on fire, but I definitely expected him to do better than he has been. We'll see how January goes, I guess, once his staff is complete and can get after it on the trail, but it's not looking good so far.

My whole point is you guys praised Herman and how all these player in the state wants to play for him but he's losing out on the same kids and even the ones that was committed to Houston and some low level guys. He's basically bringing his whole staff to Austin so I'm not understanding how it's hard to sell recruits with a bigger brand school since he's so great! He's even losing on guys he's already had previous relationship with at Houston.

I am disappointed with the lukewarm response Tom Herman has received with recruits. I think most people expected an uptick in interest from the elite recruits that doesn't seem to be happening. I think most fans are hoping Tom Herman can bring the success on the field because it will solve a lot of the recruiting issues. However, Houston's 2016 season is concerning that in retrospect the 2015 season may have been a flash in the pan. I hope Tom Herman despite his inexperience will bring us wins. It certainly would be more comforting to have hired an established coach, such as Meyer, Harbaugh etc rather than a relative flyer with Herman.
