Got BF1 for the PS4 and am curious to see what the game is like in a modern setting. But I don't want to drop money on it if the multiplayer is dying or will soon die. Is this the case?

ETA: Found a place to see online numbers. Looks like BF4 has 1/10th the players as BF1 on any system. I'll probably pass.

I haven't popped in BF4 in a while, but I wouldn't be surprised if it maintains a loyal contingent. BF1 is fun, but they are different experiences. Sometimes you just wanna play a round with the more modern day weapons/vehicles. They could co-exist

BF1 is vastly superior to BF4

Don't even bother

I'd wait until you can get it for dirt cheap off the PSN store.

For the PS4... probably no point. PC community is rolling though

Took a break from BF1 and hopped on BF4 on XBONE last night. No shortage of fully populated servers to choose from.

They discounted it significantly as a promotion leading up to BF1, and all the DLC was free to download, which is fortunate because the servers are dead. I've tried play naval strike numerous times, and I was typically the only person in the map, and never saw more than three people at a time.

I think the base game is worth the money if it's still priced between 19.99-29.99. The other thing to consider, is the HDD space with all the content is over 100gb.
