Be very careful with Cymbalta. In fact, get off of it. It's very difficult to withdraw from. It's short half-life combined with the fact that the smallest dose is 20mg means it's incredibly hard to wean yourself off of.
I wonder what your terrible experience was with Lexapro and why your doctor thinks Cymbalta would be different. I have strong feelings about this topic and, while I want to tell you to run away from this shite, I don't want to interfere with your medical care as I don't know you.

This is exactly what I meant to say but better said.
You are now blocking the re-uptake of norepinephrine. This is a very strong neuro transmitter. Don't take advise from someone who doesn't have a M. D. Shindig their name.
