I hope they leave out the jump pack in Battlefront 2. It's annoyingly used by certain players to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. The Scarrif map where players jump on top of the cargo ship and the Tatooine map with the sandcrawler are some of the worst offenders.
It is good for getting out of trouble though. A lot of times, you've almost killed someone and they jet pack right over your head. It's practically useless in deathstar though.

It really only shines on large maps or maps with lots of vertical space.
Death star is not one of those places. for inside combat I use the dioxis grenade and flashbang
