I just think a spread offense beats Bama. It's been obviously the only offense they've consistently struggled with, and Saban has even publicly voiced his displeasure about the uptempo spread. I don't think we're improving our chances. We had maybe the two best RB in LSU history this season,and we still couldn't score a single point.

It didn't matter if LSU had the best back in the NFL this year nobody was going to rush for much when the o line got demolished and the qb play was atrocious. I do agree with you that spreads are better against Bama, but they need to be a balanced attack where Bama can't attack downhill. Every team Bama has had trouble with had a qb who could punish over aggressive pass rushers with his legs. In Auburns miracle game they only had 97 yards passing in that game but scored 34 points.

Yes good assessment and we are hiring an OC that likes to run the ball so do the math.
