It's such a tough problem. We Americans will get our dope, one way or the other. Via legal or illegal means.

I think the problem is the law honestly.

Have a drinking problem? Go to AA or rehab.

Have a drug problem? Go to prison, have your parents home siezed for possessing your drugs, become a confidential informant after your plea deal, try and become sober, but can't get a job because of criminal record, start using again, and either get killed in the drug war, OD, or go back to prison.

How are drugs different than alcohol again?

It's time we treat drug addiction like the medical, not criminal issue, it is.

The harsh penalties are not because you're a drug addict. It's built for the dealers/cookers. Heavy weight dealers/suppliers. The system is built to stop it at the top, it just so happens that users get caught in the crosshairs

I was thinking that when those two LSU students were arrested at the Florida game snorting coke, and were charged with a felony, even though the officer recovered less than a quarter gram. So these two students are felons for a little bit of pookie.

Just sad.

Plus it's a schedule 2. I don't get it.
