If his options are HC or OC, he's going to choose OC. If his options are OC at LSU or unemployed, he's going to choose OC at LSU. The wild card would be if Saban has would would be a change of heart based on recent reporting and decides to offer Lane a renewal. Then Kiffin has a real choice to make. None of the other choices above are that difficult.
