CNN article...
Muslims in America
Stats and information come from different source:

Muslims in America
quote:
U.S. Muslims have the second-highest level of education among major religious groups in the country; Jews have the highest. And a greater proportion of them have college degrees than the general U.S. population.
quote:
While in many parts of the Muslim world, women are confined to second-class status, that's not the case among American Muslims. Virtually all of them, 90%, agree that women should be able to work outside the home. American Muslim women hold more college or postgraduate degrees than Muslim men. And they are more likely to work in professional fields than women from most other U.S. religious groups.

Because the smart ones specifically come here to go to school, retarded statement in general and especially one presented as a statistic. Makes the entire article just dumb.

If you're trying to convince people on a topic, this is not the way to start the thread...

I also don't understand this reasoning.
Education does not equal being treated humanely on a personal level.
She has a college degree? That's awesome! She must take great advantage of it living in her husband's basement.

So, according to CNN, education = assimilation. I'm going to go with no.
Posted on 12/8/16 at 7:14 am to phillypie
Buy this article logic, Hispanics should be banned from the US because they are not assimilating. Their rates of college education are lower than whites, Muslims, or Jews.

Muslims are an extremely small minority right now. The ones that come here are generally wealthy and have marketable skills, or they come here as college students and then have marketable skills. The many without any education or skills can't come here yet unless they are refugees. But the refugees generally don't have skills that would be effective in the US and they speak no English, so they would be highly likely to be part of the welfare state

Nobody said anything about banning undereducated groups of people. I am addressing the point that a lot of people don't believe Muslims have integrated well into American society, and that is just false.

understand the CNN hate. The stats in the article come from another source:
Wow so the article says that an entire class that has been coming here for a generation to specifically get college degrees has a higher probability of having a degree than the general US population, shocker!!!
And it what way does this prove assimilation?
