So you're saying there may actually be a shot at Sark?

2014 was Alabama's worst team possibly since 2008.

Average QBs with no real escape ability to ad lib and make something out of not much have little value any more vs. Bama...and they need to be able to take a lick and keep on ticking...

I'm not saying his name hasn't been brought up. It was just not a name my friend and I spoke about.

I like what he done a Pitt and I think he should be interviewed.

He was a named that has been brought up a lot and at one point my friend believed we'd get both. That has t been brought up again.

If LSU doesn't get Kiffin, Sark is 2/3 on the list. If Kiffen stays at Bama Sark is more likely.

I've said this for years when ppl criticized miles. Sure a lot of it as warranted but the we produce just as much talent to NFL but lose 2-3 more games and lose to them is skewed. And a big reason is exactly what u said we have sophomores going against RS jr's & sr's.. And of course qb play has factored as well.

the analysts factor in...go back and watch the last few years and watch their LBs call our checks and beat the RB to the hole over half the time

I love the power spread idea.. La has been doing that for years.. We have a lot of athletes that can fit that mold.. And some will develop into great passers after they develop at qb for a few years instead of playing S. That's when u win championships.. Why miles didn't go this route is beyond me. Keeps physical style attack he likes and he had the athletes and the road graders to do it. Wouldn't have had to change a ton really. Just formation. That's why I'm glad he's gone. Now if O mimics dabos path of recruiting and solid coordinator hires maybe we can't become the Clemson of the sec. very impressive what dabo has done there. No reason O can't do it too.

No, this is what you said about Bamas success, and why LSU cant beat them
quote:

Average Age of 5th Sr is 22/23 compared to a True Jr 20/21. Those 2 extra years in S&C programs make a big difference and their football maturity is better.

And I just showed you a program that had more Fr, rsFr, and soph, than they had Jr & Sr. And they beat the stronger, more mature Bama team

Beating a team, boils down to having the TALENT to do it, and the coaching to put that talent in place

Bama currently has a true Freshman in their most important position, and once again are headed back to the playoffs. Its coaching that has allowed developed the scheme to allow him to succeed

LSU has always had the talent to beat Bama, but with Miles and now O, we haven't had the scheme

Tigerbaitlayer- as far as you know has there been any sort of mention for Matt Canada who runs a power spread offense?

So disregard the rest of Bama's team. Hurts is loaded around him.

I stand by what I said previously. Osu's one game anomaly is not a trend. Bama would have beat OSU 8/10 games that year. Bama played a bad second half.

Any team in football can win a single game but, Programs win championships.

Lsu's program is esstentially forced to restart every 3 years. Duke Riley is a prime example of of some one that should have red shirted. We basically got 1 year out of him. Deion Jones is another that basically had 1 year. Imagine our LB situation with Beckwith, Jones, Riley this season. We have had great depth and would have at least 1 returning instead of 0 like next year. Beckwith would have likely have left this year anyway but he didn't contribute significantly his freshman year. He was a DE.

LSU had a roster management problem under Miles. It is much easier to convince a 2 year starter to stay compared to a 3 year starter.

Thank you for your insight. It really makes a lot of sense which is not always too common on TD!

Funny, the quote below is what your post referenced. I think the lawyer got you on this one. CASE DISMISSED !!!!

You don't beat Bama by starting mostly true freshman. Hopefully this class staying intact for one more year will rebuild our depth.
