I don't understand the thinking of some wanting an acquittal. Hayes has a gun on him, Will sees the gun and says I got one too. What gave Hayes the right protect himself but Will was killed for wanting the same?

Will was the aggressor. The issue is nibody testified that will said gun or got a gun. Hayes would be a free man if someone did.
