After watching the SECCG today, it's very clear where we stand

We will not beat Bama and win the SEC until Saban retires or O completely squanders his opportunity. This offseason was a chance to bring in a homerun hire and attempt to re-balance the scales. LSU needed an offensive change. LSU is the ONLY school in the SEC and one of the only in the country that consistently brings in comparable athletes to Alabama. Nobody else can compete with them on a talent and depth level. With the right coach, LSU could have changed everything.

My biggest fear is not that O will fail, it's that LSU will consistently bring in enough talent to keep us 8-4, 9-3, 10-2 some years (just like with Miles) where we win in spite of coaching and never see our full potential due to lack of vision by the LSU administration.

Bottom line; if LSU makes a quality hire this offseason, we at least have a chance to win some games against the juggernaut that is Alabama and try to force Saban into retirement. As it stands now, he'll continue to beat up on us and will retire whenever he wants. Best case scenario; we hire Briles and completely give him the reigns to the offense.

And this is why they should hire Briles as OC and give a :double bird: to the media and anyone that opposes the decision. Make a choice to win, Kiffin or Ensminger is not the choice that should be made

You think LSU beating Saban a couple times in the next decade will "force" Saban into retirement?

We needed to make a big time hire who has the potential to be a home run even if it didn't turn out that way. We needed a big time change. Instead we settled for a worse version of what we already had.

Nobody is beating Bama. Our players are very good but, Bama's are better.

We fired our best coach in our history and struck out on his replacement. Alleva panicked and made a poor decision.

That's the reality of the situation.

I'm not saying it would force him into retirement. I'm not sure anyone in the country can consistently beat him. But the guy is about to win his 6th national title. He's made millions on top of millions. Maybe losing a couple and having to deal with some level of shite by the Alabama retards will force him to say "frick it" and just chill for the rest of his life. He's already achieved GOAT status. There's nothing left for him to accomplish

If LSU chooses Ensminger, we choose to not win. Bring in Briles for a couple years, watch the SEC run scared. Saban hates the spread offense, complains about it like a whiny bitch. We would be unstoppable and our D under Aranda would destroy opponents. To me, it's a simple decision.

I'm seeing a lot of downvotes, but so far, not one single valid argument against what I've said. Could it be that O supporters are largely uneducated and can't put a rational counter argument together?

It's either that or a bunch of alters collectively downvoting anything anti-O and upvoting anything pro-O in order to fluff this hire. Truth be told, I've seen seen a ton of new posters as soon as O was named so it just seems a little odd.

Saban may coach there until he kicks the bucket. He's so into the process that he doesn't strike me as the type to even have time to ponder retirement until he just kicks it one day.

Since we didn't get Herman, they should do the right thing and get someone competent to handle the offense. Kiffin does not excite me at all. Make the SEC shite their pants by hiring Briles.

I agree. Briles is getting serious consideration to be part of the staff so that's a step in the right direction if we are serious about championships.

We lost to Auburn and Florida on the last play of the game. We are those two games away from being ranked in the top ten and playing in the Sugar Bowl. If you can't tell that the team has played in a much more dynamic way on both sides of the ball, then I don't know what will convince you.

If we had a real OC, those games wouldn't have been close. I have no problem with O if he hires a great OC. Briles should be packing his bags and headed to BR!

Despite their character shortcomings Kiffin, Briles or Petrino could turn our talent into a viable competitor against Bama.

Applewhite is another QB whisperer that comes to mind.

Any one of these guys as OC puts us on par with Bama immediately!

Where we stand is we're the only team that remotely gave Bama a scare, behind a coach that our snowflake fans think isn't good enough for them.

Y'all are a bunch of pussies. That is all.
