I'll put it this way, look at the career numbers, the ones that actually matter. If you look at completion %, TD%, INT%, and YPA...Brees is every bit as good as Manning, so how do you explain away having 0 MVPs compared to a few for Manning with almost identical career numbers?

In the end, i'm just saying it's not as wide a gap as many think IMO. And Brees is still chugging along.

Brees deserved to win the MVP in 2009. Both teams did pretty close to equally as well in the regular season, and Brees had a better statistical year in almost every category except a little over 100 yards less.

2011 would have been an MVP caliber year most years for Brees, but Aaron Rodgers beat out an all time great year with an even better year.
