but Fedora as well.
Every UNC site I looked at the past few months said Fedora was gone if LSU would have offered.

I just think LSU didn't want to take the hit in recruiting unless they were getting the top dog.

Retain O dirt cheap with no buyout, keep the recruiting pipelines going. If he does well, great. If he doesn't, we move on, but the team is still loaded.

It's not the way I would have gone, but I think this had to factor in their minds.

Simply because "sites" say he'd be gone, does not make it so.
Simply because we didn't hear, in the press, that Alleva was talking to other coaches or agents (it's not the best maneuver to openly admit to talking to coaches or agents during the middle of the season...does not mean that it did not happen.

I read every other poster on here saying "there was no coaching search" or "Alleva didn't talk to anyone else" that I'm about to puke. WE DO NOT KNOW all the facts, and they won't come out anytime soon.

Prolonging the "negotiation" with Tom Herman means our guys have to wait to get on the recruiting trail with only a few days to spare.
