Something is wrong with Islam at its most basic level. Its a vile and evil political ideology. It isn't a religion.
It is an authoritarian and pseudo-fascist ideology with the sole purpose of global conquest of the world in the name of Allah. Only the people of the book (Jews, Christians, Hindus and possibly Buddist) have an opportunity to live without converting. They just have to pay a ridiculous tax and can't have any leadership roles.

As with nearly any religion, "vile and evil" comes via interpretation and application, not in origin or foundation.
