Michigan State was basically a .500 team for the first 4 of Saban's years as a DC at MSU. Meyer was never even an OC before being named a HC at BGSU nor was Harbaugh who only had 2 years as a QB coach in the NFL before getting a college HC job. I think he used to moonlight for his dad. you're missing my point. Of course new head coaches may not have much of a resume when they get their first gig.

My point was that the 3 top coaches in college today all started at small schools, and then moved up. There would be a big risk if Aranda's first HC job was LSU.
