Currently leading the league in completions, attempts, completion percentage, touchdown passes, and yards (with a 76.2% completion over the last 6 games)
Well on his way to another 5000+ yard, 40+TD, 70%+ season. No one is history has done this other than Brees (2011) and he is about to do this for the SECOND time.
To put this in perspective: Only 5 QBs in history have thrown for 5000 yards in a season. The other 4 have only done it once. Brees is about to do it for the FIFTH time alone. Only 8 QBs in history have thrown for 40+ TDs in season (10 total times) and Brees is about to accomplish this for the THIRD time (most ever). 70% completion has only been accomplished by 6 different QBs (7 times total none active other than Brees) and Brees is about to accomplish this for the THIRD time.
Passing for 33+ TDs as only have 58 times total in history and Brees is about to accomplish this for the NINTH STRAIGHT season.
Brees is also only one of three QBs in history to have a career passer rating of over 100 in the playoffs (Bart Star and Kurt Warner are the only other two).
No one in history sniffs his last 11 year run. We have never seen a QB play at this level for so long. If he stays healthy and doesn't retire early he will demolish the TD record, the yards record, the completions record, and the completion percentage record.
We are witnessing tGOAT.

Brees averages 10 wins a season in his 5000 yard seasons. Have another question?

Brees is amazing, shame he had such a horrible offensive line and defense these last few years the saints could've been tom Brady level dominant

No idea - look them up. I'm sure they all won superbowls in those years (they didn't).

Itll be a shame if he goes down as the greatest player to never win an MVP award. Product of being in New Orleans rather than a more interesting location i guess. That and the defense being terrible

Two more seasons and Drew will break the record book open. 3-4 more seasons and the record will never be broken

FIFY. If Brees couldn't win it in 2011, he'll probably never win it.

It is a damn shame that he has never won a MVP award

See, you would think he is, but no, he is not in the discussion

imagine if Brees was on New England and Brady played all these years for the Saints...Brees would have 6 rings. Shame all his good years were wasted overachieving in a poorly constructed and operated Saints organization.

To be fair as much as I love brees,Brady has taken serious paycuts to help the team, drew has a contract that is kobe Bryant-Esque in that is basically giving the saints a BBC schlonging in their ability to make other moves, but he is worth every penny

Too bad his defense is shite

Its much better than years past, we just have lost some heart breakers.
This team should have a much better record. Damn shame, definitely a playoff worthy team.
