I was trying to explain this in another thread. Saban might not have the title "defensive coordinator" but he damn well coordinates that defense. Same goes for Urban Meyer and Jimbo on offense.

These head coaches build an identity for their team regardless of who's the coordinators.

With Orgeron LSU will be a revolving door of coordinators and will never have a true identity.

We will be steadily switching offensive and defensive styles as the coordinators come in and out. Some doing well and advancing to better jobs and some shitting the bed and getting fired.

With O this will never end.

right now we're depending on Dave Aranda. If he stays at LSU for 4 or 5 more years and continues to field championship caliber defenses he'll be our next HC.

Both Saban and Miles where middle of the road coaches until
the got use of the La. talent pool. It's to early to pronounce
coach O a failure. The ability to recruit and evaluate talent
in assistants and players will decide the succes of coach O

So you're saying teams will have a tough time preparing for LSU.
