I think everyone should fear Bama. LSU recruits at the same level and gets the same level of talent to compete, we haven't been able to capitalize on it yet. Do I think O is the right guy? Hell no...not yet. He held them scoreless for a while, but he hasn't been the guy yet...THE guy.

Now is his time. I think that says a lot and he knows the pressure and expectations going in, and that says a lot too. I think at worst we will get Miles level competition and at best we can be the team to overcome that hump. I think he will push himself to be better...we will see. The expectations haven't changed. We aren't Tulane. As the day drags on, my comfort gets better. I was beyond pissed, but the think he will do alright. Get us Kiffin or Applewhite and we might be able to do this thing. As we have seen, someone who bumblesand stumbles their way through it can compete with LSU...he doesn't strike me as that guy as mad as I was about it

This whole discussion and the analysts at the game illustrate one reason why Kiffin might bolt and why our fans slant reality.

1. Bama threw early because Auburn was loading the box. Didn't our fans scream for LSU to do this on a weekly basis?

2. Kiffin made half time adjustments and the announcers said Saban reigned in the offense and got them back to running, rather than Kiffin adjusted at half-time. Saban gets credit vs Kiffin. BTW, Bama had over 300yds at the half.

3. The offense finished with over 500yds against a very tough Auburn D. Balanced offense of 300 passing and 200 rushing

I am not saying Kiffin is a genius or doesn't have flaws, but the manipulation of reality sure is amusing.
