If he wanted it kept quiet, then how did it get out?
How did Texas know? I'm not saying they directly called the boosters and gave them into but LSU let it slip in some way. That would certainly be LSU's fault.
This is all based on him being upset about it being leaked though. It's pretty much the only explanation if that's true.

My GUESS would be his agent leaked to them. Don't know the guy, that's just the logical assumption.
