Just because you keep using this argument does not make it true. How did he prove himself worthy? They looked like utter incompetent shite against Bama and a crippled Florida. Who cares if he out athlete/depthed lesser teams? Why am I supposed to assume his game planning gets better as soon as he's handed more responsibility and stress?

Please...your argument is based on Orgeron playing Bama closer then anybody else in the country has and losing to Florida because players made mistakes.

The game plan against Bama appeared to be that we could stop there offense and needed to make sure we didn't give them any easy scores on turnovers and special teams. We played them close, got a couple opportunities that we could not convert, and lost a game to the best team in the country with the best defense in the country by a close margin. The game plan wasn't horrible...it just fell apart when we couldn't pass block against their DL and our QB didn't play well. Sucked but it happens.

Blaming the UF game on the gameplay is just ignorant. The game plan worked. We dominated that game and lost because of individual mistakes by players in side the 10 yard line. Guice fumbling on the 7 wasn't part of the game plan. Jackson fumbling a KO return wasn't part of the gameplan. Bobbling a FG snap wasn't part of the gameplan. Guice running the wrong way on the last play (on a play that was blocked and open if he hadn't) is not part of the gameplan.

A bad coach loses that AtM game. Down a bunch of starters on the road in a meaningless game and we come out physical and execute with our best offensive game of the season.

Give him the full time gig and let him hire a real OC (no fault to Ensminger...just not the long term answer) and I am confident that he will do as well as those guys mentioned down the list. Just not worried about it.

In the end i am comfortable with the narrowed down list that LSU is working from.
- The proven stable big time coach in Jimbo Fisher
- the definitive "might be the next big thing" coach in Herman
- the guy who might not be the conventional hire but he works for us and we know what we are getting in Orgeron.

None of those are bad choices in my opinion.
