Rather than start another thread, I'm frying an 18.5# bird, as opposed to my usual 13-14# bird. Should I reduce the oil temperature? And can I still guess about 3 min/#, or will it add significantly to the time?
As to OP, I use my smallest (40 quart) crawfish pot. I like having a little more freeboard.
