Your opinion may differ, but this is my guess at the best possible way of obtaining our needs at the best value. I found 11 needs.
QB - 1 project QB. I'm assuming we get 2 more years minimum out of Brees. 4 more if we get lucky.
[b]RB - 1 3rd down back. Speed & good hands.
FB - N/A. Can be replaced by league minimum salary.
WR - 1 deepthreat, if anything.
TE - N/A. Top 3 guys under contract next year.
C - N/A.
OG - 2 starter quality.
OT - 1 replacement for Strief. Hopefully we get 1 more year from Strief.
DT - N/A.
DE - 2. 1 good starter quality & 1 more guy for the future.
LB - 1 good starter quality.
CB - 1 #2 starter quality.
S - 1 more guy for the future. I'm assuming that Byrd plays for us next year.
P - N/A.
K - N/A. Can be replaced by league minimum salary.
LS - N/A...I guess.
My only need that I left off was QB. Hopefully we can find a PR/KR from the RB/WR/DB additions.
F.A. - Should have around 25 mil to spend if we retain Fairley for about 5 mil.
1 RB - 3rd down back.
1 OG - Starter quality.
1 LB - Good starter quality.
1 CB - #2 starter quality.
Draft
1st - DE
2nd - OG/OT
3rd - OT/OG
4th - DE
6th - S
7th - WR

everything....front office, all coaches, all players......

I think a game breaking running back out of the backfield in the mild of Bush/sproles that can work underneath would take this offense from really good to juggernaut again.
After that... Another o lineman and keep building that defense.

Need to draft a CB and DE early IMO. Generally everything else we can get in FA.

You talking about Dalvin Cook, baw?

Saints need all the players wearing a Patriots uniforms including their Owner.

I'd prefer getting a CB in free agency. Drafting CBs seems like the biggest crapshoot.
I think that's the direction the team will likely go too after showing interest in Norman and Haden...along with some success we have had recently with Greer and Lewis. Not Browner though, obviously.

What about bringing in Demarcus Ware to add some short term pass rush depth? How much do you think he would go for?
I also wonder if Dallas will resign Claiborne. If (big If) he can stay healthy, he would be a nice addition at corner.

WR - 1 deepthreat.
Maybe a late pick.
But at that point, you're just looking at a fast gadget-type player, which could just as easily be a RB.

True. It was my 2nd least important need...behind QB. I'd be ok with going defense there instead of WR.
That asset can be had for VERY cheap in F.A.

I like the idea. Take 3 or 4. We'll probably hit on 1...maybe 2 if we're lucky.

QB: Project QB if our lovely 3rd round pick isn't it
RB: Gadget/Speed/Receiver RB
FB: None
WR: receiving RB covers this, I actually like Coleman's development
TE: None
OL: One RG, possible future RT or backup T; the left side is secure with Armstead-Peat and Kelemete has been a damn good backup that can play LT-LG. We definitely need one of this year's FA's to step up and replace Lelito who sucks
DL: DE is priority, as long as fairley is here I think DT isn't a necessity yet with a rotation of Onyemata/Davison/Fairley/Rankins
LB: 1 elite/high potential prospect. Robertson is very solid, above average but Stupar/Anthony/Ellerbe are average at best considering their health as well
CB: gotta get one...a top 4 of Breaux-Williams-Moore-Crawley is good, but health is a definite issue with these guys. Need to be sure and to do that, need to draft/FA or something
S: Byrd isn't in the window past 2017 IMHO, so with that being said time groom another.
Free Agency: Stephon Gilmore (CB), Darian Stewart (FS), Ronald Leary (G), and re-sign our important guys (i.e. Fairley)
Draft: 1st round and 2nd round DE/LB, 3rd and 4th round RB/OL, 6-7th round BPA

Offense:
2 guards, one to start immediately and who could challenge for a starting job. Sign a FA and draft a guard in round 3 or 4.
Defense:
Starting NT
Starting DE
Starting MLB (Move Craig Robertson to WLB)
Starting SLB (Unless Stephone Anthony has it together by then)
Starting CB if there are health concerns about PJ Williams. If he's healthy, I like Breaux and Williams as the starters and we have some nice depth already, especially if Damian Swann ever gets healthy.
