Stop with the Kiffin as OC talk...

Why would you want that idiot anywhere near the LSU football program? He has the maturity level of a middle school boy.
If he wants to leave Bama to come to LSU so he "doesn't get yelled at" or to "spite Saban", as some have claimed, then it just shows you how terrible of a person he really is.
He's a giant POS, and if that's who O is going to present to Alleva for his "big plan" he would be a worse HC than i thought.

the dude is an offensive mastermind...

He's not a great offensive coordinator either. He's incredibly inconsistent. I do think hes exceptional at designing plays, though

You can find OCs on par with kiffin without all the baggage and immaturity.

Yea guys - stop it! or else...

He's very good but the argument could be made he has the best talent in the country to work with, so that makes him look good. You could also argue he would have access to equal talent at LSU, but we don't have equal talent. I'm not on the Kiffin/O train. We don't have Bama's QB and we don't have their talent on the OL.

You had me at the thread title. Didn't read the rest tbh. Dude's a slimeball. Not to mention I think Bama's talent and Saban's ever present foot up his arse is propping up his OC game which I don't see is as good as everyone keeps saying it is. I could have come up with a way better game plan on how to beat LSU. I'd argue they should have won by more.

You wont find an offensive coordinator that can develop first year starters like he can. (Sims (who was a running back), Coker, and now Hurts) Also, he changes the offense based on his personnel.

Don't need an OC to do it. Just hire Jimbo and be done with this non-sense of Kiffin and O.

That's great and all but the O and Kiffin grouping is just ridiculous. Kiffin, if he does well, isn't going to stay here very long. He's already what, 3 years at Bama? We get 2 years tops and he bolts and then it's Coach O finding a coordinator again? Awful.
O shouldn't be given the reins here end of story which makes Kiffin a nonstarter. Is there more than 5 people who think this is a good idea? If so, I worry about their other life decisions.

Well if you believe many reports O is still a viable candidate after the loss to Florida. I truly hope it's just a smoke screen or last resort option lsu is keeping in their pocket, but Alleva will continue to entertain the idea, st least in the public's eye.

You act like jimbo is going to be the one calling the plays and actually coaching the QBs... He still has to hire a QB coach.

You believe that his OC and QB coach are churning out those QBs at FSU without Jimbo's guidance and training?
Pretty sure jimbo is controlling the offense like saban with defense. They may not be all in, but they have a heavy hand in all of it.

Absolutely. Im sure he gives his two cents but overall its the OC/QB coach. You cant tell me that saban also is in control of that defense. Two different coordinators has looked completely different than when kirby smart was in there.

It was Saban's idea to use the "slim and trim" approach to his defense, i believe. Basically shrink the size of your lbs and dbs so they can fly all over the field.
I don't think we need Kiffin to do well. We could hire TCU, UT, tOSU, Michigan, or OUs coordinator and be in an equally good position offensively as with Kiffin. We should not let Kiffin touch this program with his shitty recruiting tactics and immaturity.

Saban knows how he operates so, like Saban did with Miles, he would adjust and then make Kiffen his bitch.
