Does football even need a coach to beat Saban in regular season?

It seems if LSU would just win the games that they should that even with a Bama loss they could finish consistently with a 10-2 or an 11-1 regular season record. Seeing how the teams are playing this year, with strength of schedule factored in, it seems like the team would always be a playoff contender given the new system with a record like that.
Point being, Saban is really hard to beat, so solely hiring a coach in the hopes of beating him may be doing it wrong. Why not just hire a guy that can ensure that LSU wins the games that they are supposed to? It seems that every year hinges on beating Alabama knowing that there will be more losses. If there was the knowing that they would maybe/maybe not meet in playoffs based on seeding, it would take a lot of pressure off this one game in determining the whole year.

Well, no coach has more wins against Saban--or Meyer (the consensus two best coaches in the college game today) than Les Miles himself...yet LSU fired him. There's your answer.

If we dont beat BAMA, then we dont go to the SECCG. Plain and simple

This is a loser mentality... I want to win them all. Including Bama.
Are you a alter for a Bama fan?
LSU is elite this century, and has the resources to remain elite. LSU is supposed to win around 50% of the games over 10 year span against other elite programs in the conference. The program is down under the recent regime, but I see a bright future with the injection of a coach that can run/build/rebulid an elite program.

Saban is beatable... and it takes a smart rational logical HC to know that a spread-based scheme and and gameplan would have success against Saban. Miles, Cameron, O, and Esminger failed that.

Well according to the rant, the coach has no responsibility for the play of his players on the field, so I don't see what all the fuss is about.

Yes, because we are both in the WEST you dumbass. No beat bama, no SEC championship.

This is an often overlooked fact. Playing in the SEC, you are allowed a loss or even 2, and can still make the playoff.Other conferences arent granted as much leniency. Thats why we need to get our crap together before its too late.

U fight fire with fire! Defense wins championships. U beat Bama with Defense (like we almost did) and like they do to every one. We do need to be more creative on Offense no doubt. We can't rely solely on our running backs. A decent smart mobile QB is key.
