I'll be rolling through there tomorrow and want to know a good spot to pick up boudin and whatever else looks enticing. Normally go to Best Stop, but won't be going by there and want to try something new anyway. What say you? Thanks.

Some people will say Teets but I find Paul's Meat Market better for smoked meats (sausage, Tasso, ponce, etc). Best boudin in Ville Platte is at Shops. Best boudin in the area, T-Boys in Mamou.

Ville platte: B&S, Pauls, & Teets are the top 3. You'll find everything you need between those 3

Last week I picked up smoked sausage from Don's in Reserve, Veron's in Lutcher, Bergeron's in Port Allen, and Teet's. I did a blind taste test and Teet's was the winner, although surprisingly, Bergeron's was a close second.
As far as boudin goes, my favorite in the area is at Janise's in Sunset. In my boudin taste-off a few weeks back, Janise's was the overall best out of 18 different boudins I sampled. Bourque's, in Port Barre, was 2nd on my list and my wife's favorite. Bourque's also has the best bread pudding I've ever eaten.
