Let's think critically about illegal immigration...

These are people coming into our country illegally.
They are subverting the rule of law to illegally occupy our territory.
They refuse to integrate into society, declare themselves and apply for citizenship.
These are enemy combatants. If a foreign power assaults the sovreignty of the United States of America by invading its lands, do we not have a right to defend ourselves against such threats?
I say apply Geneva Convention rules to all illegals coming over the border. Surrender or be shot as foreign invaders.

This is all anyone needs to know

They aren't enemy combatants and don't deserve the protection of the Geneva Convention. If captured they aren't pow's they are criminals.

Waive your head at me if you want, but they're coming into our country illegally. Leeching off this society. Taking jobs from our people, draining our resources.
This is America, not a welcome wagon.

I'd argue a criminal is a person who committed an act against its land of residence.
Combatants are those making acts of war, aka illegally invasion, ones lands.
Just build a wall and line up a row of machine guns.
/illegal immigration.

I agree, but that doesn't make them enemy combatants.
Deport them, the end.

But they keep coming back, Fun Bunch. They keep coming back. It's a war that never ends.

The mere fact that they are on our soil is a crime. It does not matter that they have not commited any other crimes.
Being here is illegal and we should deport every one of them. If they have had a child here, then that child is an American citizen. The child can remain here either as a ward of the state or with a legal (citizen) guardian. Or the child can return home with the parents and be readmitted as an adult. But the parents should be blacklisted from ever entering the United States again.
The funny thing about the people in the lower economic, and less educated areas supporting the democrats is that they are also supporting bringing in more poorly educated workers. They illegals are competing for the exact same jobs as many of the democratic voters.

How about we just invade Central and South America, enslave those that fight us or aid the enemy or just stand there and then teach them how democracy really works

You said think critically then everything you said proved you can't do that. You're thinking with a preconceived bias and end result in mind. You also seem to lack the knowledge of what an invasion force is or what it takes for an action to be considered an act of war.

I still say forget the wall. Build a huge trench. Staffed with snipers. They enter the hot zone, they get the bullet.

Not everything that's critically thought out requires compassion and a way forward.

I didn't say it did not do I think it is an integral part of critical thinking. I just stated you said a lot of really misinformed shite which threw both the critical and thinking part straight out the window.
I'm all for deportation but there needs to be legitimate thought and consideration taken in regards to priority, paths to citizenship that subvert the Mexican governments hand in it due to their systematic favoritism of the elite and those with wealth and the toll it will take on industry here that many citizens out right won't fill because it's hard arse work and doesn't pay much and they're used to suckling on the teet of tax payers or are too lazy to do themselves

Has nothing to do with the Geneva Conventions, that's for uniformed combatants.
They should be sent home at their expense.

Choot the gang bangers and drug dealers, find a way to work with those that really want to be good Americans and say fine them % of their wages as part of becoming Americans. Those that pay it are likely going to be quality citizens those that don't can get chooted

Step 1 Pass a law laying huge fines and I mean huge fines to business that hires illegals.
Step 2 Increase budget to put more boots on the ground for border patrol ie whatever they need for now.
Step 3 Begin making better barriers to crossing from low to high tech.
Step 4 Work with the houses, business and Mexico to develop a better guest worker system.
Step 5 If these show a decrease in illegal crossing then begin a slow path program to get those here and working a path to citizenship. If they don't take it then deport.
I don't remember the group that had a slow, hard and fairly reasonable path to citizenship plan but it was laid out quite well.
