I've heard some of the companies mentioned in this thread, but not all. The company that recruited my friend in college was called Melaluca. I think they're still around...

My wife has bought stuff from Melaleuca. Thankfully, she doesn't want to get involved in the sales side, although she went to one of the "parties" once and did come back telling me how much money the people were making selling it. I'm still trying to convince her that's it's overpriced, feel-good, crap.
