I was shocked and disappointed (even though I really didn't want SEC expansion) when A&M turned down the initial SEC invite in 2010 when conference expansion was first ramping up. It was always the best move for both parties. Hell, A&M should've followed Arky back in the '90s to free itself from the UT succubus.

The 90s was all political. We straight up have reed arena today because we stayed with UT and went to the big 12
2010 was weird too because I just don't think A&M leadership was ready to make such a monumental move but we were absolutely coming to the SEC if the Pac group was still going out west
