This is my problem with the people who are such devout Herman for LSU head coach cheerleaders. Yes he went 13-1 in his first year in a little league conference. How is his second year going? Losing to Navy, getting stomped by SMU and barely getting past Tulsa with a #6 ranked team in his second year scares me.

Apparently, the previous staff provided enough for Tom to be successful his first year, not so much the second year. Herman has never been a head coach with a team he built or maintained. He is still using the majority of the previous staff's players.

Ranks are only accurate towards the end of the year, when it's early in the season it's based on resume and potential. Nobody honestly thought there were only 5 teams in the entire country better than them. Not sure why 2 losses disqualify Herman but 27 are ignored for Coach O. Any candidate we're looking for is going to have bad losses here and there.
