Bama Offense

After watching the Tennessee game the only thing Bama seems to do well is the read option. Their players do a good job at setting the edge for Hurts. There's hardly any down feild passes. If we're able to contain Hurts, make him throw to win it'll be our game to lose. We've always played spectacular against running QB's. We haven't played a Qb as dynamic as Hurts. But I think Bama meets its match Tigers Roll. 21-17.

Contain, just as we did against JFF. LSU will win this game. 24-20

Our offense is more innovative than theirs. I don't know the last time I said that.

This is the biggest thing, contain and dont overpursue Hurts. If he escapes the pocket he is dangerous, keep him in the pocket and force the throws into our secondary.

But their defense is certainly good. Can we score enough, if we are able to contain their offense and keep it around 21 points?
Not easy, but I think this year we are definitely capable.
Just got to stop with the slow starts and turnovers and bad penalties.
You know the refs will be watching our side like a hawk.

They wont be scoring much on offense against us. We just have to find ways to soften up their defense in some spots. Etling has to make good decisions and find open receivers to open up that Bama front a bit for Fournette

Jacksonville State's QB. They ran the read play and had some success but that was earlier in the season. It will interesting to see how Aranda makes adjustments based on our players performance in that game. At that time Aranda was still getting a feel for what each player could do. JSU QB was also considered a pretty good passer as well. From what I know, Hurts isn't a polished passer.

Bama tries to confuse you on formations mis direction and catching you out of position on quick snaps .

Look at Hurts stats and he has games where he did not do much like something for something and 100 yards and Int, etc. He has some games where he looks pretty good and then he seems to fall off. He is like 5th in SEC in passing and LSU just played the QB who is #1. If LSU can stop #1 then they should be able to stop #5?

I expect one or two pick sixes by our D against Hurts' inaccurate arm.

Yes Bama's offense is built around the read option. Take the option away and the whole game plan falls apart for the Tide.

Yea we just have to play disciplined. That's where most teams went wrong they get caught looking inside and not respecting Hurts as a runner. They haven't faced a defense as good as ours though. The only thing im truly worried about is our O-line playing scared. Bama's able to rush 3 players, drop the other 8 players into coverage and their still able to het to the Qb. That spells disaster for any team. I hope the O-line show's up with a chip on their shoulder's.

Lmao...they aren't dropping 8 into coverage. Good god some of you.

Bama has become Auburn...
I think the big key is Aranda initially hiding the defense's call, Bama relies on Kiffin making the read then signaling it in pre-snap. Aranda is good at adjusting quickly after the offense does.

I wish they would drop 8 into coverage LF7 would run for 350fity.

The key to this game is stopping Hurts, period! If we can shut down their read option, I like our chances a lot! Hurts is not beating us throwing the ball.

Hurts has more rushes than any other bama RB.

You either don't watch the games or dont know shite about football. I've seen several plays where their rushing 3 and still pressuring the Qb causing him to turn it over because so many players drop back in coverage. Go watch the Tennessee game if you haven't and you'll see.

Basically, LSU is talented enough(& has enough depth) to run sideline with Bama and still keep the inside run plugged up....I think we expose the tide & Hurts....
Ever notice how teams like Kentucky hang around awhile (or even have the lead for awhile) against Bama....then all hell breaks loose...they wear their 1st string down....and Bama's 2nd string is almost as good as there 1st....& Kentucky's 2nd string is not. That's what happens.....this is not the case at LSU.....we have the depth.....teams like T a&m and Tenn, are close....injuries have chipped away at those teams depth ......LSU is playing Bama at just the right time
I'm glad Coach O gave so many players a chance to play....the experience will prove invaluable...
