This ain't like shooting robins, being a bird over the limit, or running water chickens in your mud boat. I can understand youthful indiscretion, but something like this warrants a harsher response than the standard slap on the arse for being a dumb kid.
I agree and think it's good to not allow him to hunt ever again.
