You do realize when Miles wanted to bring Bill Clay from Okie lite to LSU they told him FACK NO! that is why he went out and got a great DC in pellini who then gave miles the #3 ranked D in the land 3 years running.

So I am just supposed ignore all Kelly's prior teams and just bank on him getting a top DC? Why hasnt he done that before? Even if he does, his offensive philosophy doesnt lend it self to having a top tier defense.
His best defenses during his entire HC time were at Orgeon and those were
Total Defense

With the scoring defenses not being too far off of that. If you havent noticed, having those types of defenses doesnt win games in the SEC.
