I'll update this each week as teams play their way out of playoff consideration. Obviously a million things would have to happen for a team like UNC or WSU to make it but technically they're still alive. Teams in italics will be eliminated with another loss. Now included are percentages a team makes the playoffs IF they win the rest of their games 538 College Football Predictions. Now included are scenarios for each team and what needs to happen to make the playoffs. Also included are odds each team makes playoffs.
ACC
#3 Clemson 99%- win out. -530
BIG 10
#2 OSU 90%- Should be in
#6 Wisconsin 82%- win out, need Clem loss +195
#7 Penn State 21%- win Big 10, Clem loss +700

Anybody but UCLA and Arizona can still win the Pac South. And ergo the conference. But all you have is two teams.
Are you saying if the Pac champ has 1 loss or more, they can't represent that region of the country on a Natty stage?
This is why it's still not a playoff.
Basketball gives conference champions golden tickets. You are rewarded for winning something during the season.

Technically, we are still alive for the playoff but realistically it's only a matter of time before we are out of the picture.

No I think if Wash or Utah wins the PAC 12 with 1 loss they will go to the playoffs. Colorado and Wash St probably not due to their non conference losses. USC has 3 losses already and ASU blows and will probably finish with 5 losses

I agree that Colorado isn't going, but their non conference loss is to Michigan at Michigan.

If LSU Auburn or Wisconsin win their conference without another loss, they have a good shot.

Sure some are extreme long shots but if Auburn or LSU or Wisconsin wins out they would have have legitimate arguments. Auburn and LSU would have wins over Bama and Fla/Tenn and A&M as well for LSU. Wisconsin would have 2 more wins over top 10 teams to go with a top 5 SOS

List is way too ambitious.

#2 Ohio St vs. #3 Clemson

We can beat anyone on our schedule, but with our depth stringing together all those wins is very unlikely.
Playing in Norman and Morgantown is going to be hard. I will be really happy if we get 9 wins. 10 would be great.

The golden ticket for Pacific champ that is not in playoff is rose bowl and $17 million.

You might as well italicize Baylor and West Virginia.
ANY loss will eliminate them from playoff consideration.
