$$$ for any and all things football, location of talent, city is a great place to live and raise children, potential at Texas is much better than LSU. I hate to admit that, but it's true.

The city is better and its a better place to raise kids, sure. But he won't get Saban money whether he goes to LSU or Texas, so that's a wash. He knows that he has a better roster at LSU, in a conference that won't fold anytime soon. LSU has shown that they'll pay top dollar for top coaches. We outspend Texas by 1.5 million on our staff on coaches. He can go undefeated at Texas and he could get left out of the playoffs to be honest, with no title game and horrible competition. So the easier path isn't always the best option. Hell, Baylor and WVU are undefeated right now and its pretty unanimous they have no shot at the playoffs even if they win out. So really the only thing UT has over LSU is Austin being a better city than Baton Rouge. That might be the deal breaker, but let's not act like Texas is the end all be all of college football, because they're not.
