was looking into this online and saw this. never knew this. mind blown
quote:
The film was severely edited in post-production, removing three significant characters and up to 40 minutes of film. The story was also condensed down from occurring over two days to a single day.

Mark: Midnight.

Saw this movie late last night and boy did it hit me straight in the Nostalgia feels.
First time I saw it was with a bunch of mt carmel girls and their dates at a really nice house in Metairie. I had never seen the movie and the girls kept arguing about if it was red top white bottom or white top red bottom when Liv Tyler tries to give herself to Rex Manning.
Movie still works and is an absolute gem.
A couple of weeks later the girl that took me to another party with the same group of friends. Much fancier house. More people. Philelectic society showed up and did an impromptu performance. It was around my birthday and my date gave me this really cool white polo hat. All the Jesuit lads told me to give her shite for such a crappy gift. I did and she was genuinely crushed.
Needless to say, I felt like a huge douche. Anyway, dont be an insecure kid and hang out with a bunch of cool kids. shite never ends well. And, lovely gal with the nice hat as a present, wherever you are, my bad.
Pics to make up for long sob story:

Lucas: Joe, I think it's gonna be okay.
Joe: What makes you think that?
Lucas: Who knows where thoughts come from? They just appear

And it is wild that they went to Surprise for a BTE track. Love that they added Circle of Friends. Low key one of the best BTE songs in their collection.

“We mustn’t dwell. No, not today. We can’t. Not on Rex Manning day!”

I've never seen this one and feel like I should have.
I did watch Mallrats recently for the first time a year or two ago (I was never a big Kevin Smith fan) and enjoyed it. How does this one compare to that one in terms of vibe and capturing the 90s feel?
