Ask Notre Dame or Texas if doing well at a smaller school always equates to success at a top 10-15 program.

You asked for points.

I gave you points.

It's not my fault you don't like them.

The point is you have to try to get the best coach out there. O does not have the best resume. He doesn't, and you can't refute that.

You love O? I do too.

I don't think he should be in the top tier of candidates to replace Miles. I'm sorry, but he's not.

I totally agree he doesn't have the best paper resume. My point is: some of you are putting way too much stock in a paper resume. How can you not see the failures year after year from people who dominate at lower levels and can't make it at the big schools?

I'm not saying it can't happen because obviously it does. The best had to start somewhere. But the Hermans and Flecks are no where near sure things guys.

So the idea that Orgeron is no where near in their league just because they have done something at smaller schools is just not valid imo.

The best possible job interview you can have the opportunity for is what Ed Orgeron has going right now. Idk how you can possibly argue that. We can all agree "fit" matters to some degree. Well he has a great chance to determine all of that over the next few weeks.
