No, you don't have to (it would surprise me if he wasn't, though). This hire is all about what is best for the FUTURE of LSU football, not the present.
All a successful season should mean for Orgeron is fair and legitimate consideration for the job. Once the season is over the best candidate for the job needs to be selected and hired. If Orgeron ends up being the selection, I'll support him and LSU just like I supported Miles and Saban before him.
But no one coach is bigger than the program.
